Could you share about your role and how you came to found SLPR Worldwide?

SLPR Worldwide was founded in 2014, and is part of SLPR Worldwide Group of Companies, a group of agencies covering public relations, crisis communications, social, digital performance marketing and analytics, content innovation, creative, and film production. “SLPR” stands for “Storytellers and Lego builders”, reflecting our mission to build brands brick by brick and becoming the most trusted perception transformation corporation in Southeast Asia. We are among the few ISO-benchmarked PR agencies that ensure consistency in service excellence delivery standards.

My role as Group COO involves client relations, mergers & acquisitions, with an aim to grow the company and steer it toward an IPO in Malaysia in the next three to five years.

What communication challenges do your clients and your agency face?

One of the biggest challenges our clients face is finding the right people for the right job, specifically in marketing communications. Many clients hire different agencies with specific skill sets, such as just PR or digital, which can be quite siloed. This is why SLPR has acquired various agencies to offer an omnichannel approach.

To remain competitive, we need to progressively innovate our process and services via the adoption of new technologies that adds value to our clients. We always need to be few steps ahead of ours and the client’s industry and with the help of certain mar-tech it will help us to quicken the process, whether it’s AI tech or not.
